A Week In Reading December 30th to January 5th

Hello again honeybees! This is, most unfortunately, my last week of winter break so I tried to make the most of it and read to my heart’s content (while also successfully avoiding my homework.) I’ve never done one of these posts but I’m excited to try something new! So without further ado, here’s the bookish overview of my week.

Books Read

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis (audiobook)

The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis (audiobook)

I’ve just started the Chronicles of Narnia series and I’m reading them in internal chronological order. Honestly, I just wanted a soothing audiobook to listen to before bed and I stumbled upon The Magician’s Nephew. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the series, but the third book has fallen a bit flat for me.

Currently Reading

Salt & Storm by Kendall Kulper (audiobook narrated by Lauren Fortgang) I love this narrator and the premise was interesting. I’m about 56% through and so far so good! I’ll probably finish this before Monday.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I’m reading this for my book club and…it’s very disappointing. A full (probably spoiler) review will be up once I push my way through this book.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. It’s not like I’m counting down the days until King of Scars comes out twenty two, but the pub day is fast approaching and I need to read the entire trilogy plus Language of Thorns before then and I’m stressing.

Burning Questions

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these books? Tell me everything in the comments!

Bye for now honeybees.

Love, Destiny

I love the Chronicles of Narnia! Some of the books are more interesting than others because of the character changes with each book, but overall a nice series. I hope you enjoy the rest of the books.

I’ve read the first two Narnia books (I’m reading them in publication order) and really enjoyed them! I don’t really like the Shadow and Bone trilogy but I love Nikolai and I’ve been counting down the days until KOS since we got the release date haha :))
