Hello again honeybees and welcome back to another wrap up where I A) forgot what month it was and B) want to just sit and eat cake because why even set goals anymore?
That being said, I’m learning to deal with the challenges being thrown at me and forgiving myself in the process. I can’t do everything and that is okay. Okay? Let’s get into it then.
Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
I read this with New Classic Book Club on Instagram and gave it 3/5 stars. This book was a trip and I can’t say I’m glad to have read it but… it was an experience.
Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
Then I decided to read it’s sequel and it was not smart on my part. I very much disliked this book and dragged my feet reading it. I gave it a 2.5/5 stars.
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
I had reserved this on Libby and waited about six weeks until it became available for me to borrow. It’s worth the wait, hype, and time put into it. I loved this book. I’ll be writing a review for this later but I highly recommend it!
The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis
I decided to keep reading the Narnia series because I missed Aslan so much. While I didn’t love the two main characters, it was an enjoyable read and we actually got a lot of Aslan and the witch! I gave this book 4/5 stars.
History of Magic – Alice In Wonderland
Potions – Through the Looking-Glass
Charms – The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
Care of Magical Creatures – The Silver Chair
I don’t even know if this is enough for a career but I tried my best.
Camp Nano Updates
I led my cabin Hundred Acre Wood this Nano season and it was a lot of fun! I got in a slump with my writing and became unmotivated but it was nice to motivate my cabin mates. My goal was 50,000 words or finish off my novel.
Obviously, I didn’t do that. I did, however, write 4,635 words which is one thousand more than my monthly word count. (Yes, I’m slow.)
Hopefully I’ll make more progress during summer and accomplish my goal of finishing the first draft before the end of the year.
I’m not going to wrap up my month of Instagram since it went a bit downhill at the end, but I think you get the picture. Wow, we love a good photography pun.
Overall, I’m happy with my progress since they’re still steps forward. I’d also like to mention that Octavia @ Mystical Reads totally made my day by nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I’ll have that post up soon where I nominate some of my faves.
How was your April? Did you read any good books? Did you pass all your OWLs? Tell me everything in the comments!
Bye for now honeybees.
