Oh yes honeybees, it’s time. My TBR is a bit overwhelming and I’m looking to downsize a bit, even if it is just one or two titles a week. Cross your fingers this helps curb the anxiety!
Here’s how this works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf
- Order on ascending date added
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopsis of the book
- Decide if it’s staying or going
The first batch:
We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
This is feminist lit 101 and I’m so upset I haven’t read this yet! It’s super small and apparently very knowledgeable/impactful. Definitely need to read soon.
Mirror Mirror by Cara Delevingne
The premise, while a bit interesting, isn’t anything unique. I don’t feel like I absolutely have to read it and I have a weird feeling that I won’t enjoy it.
More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera
If you know me, you know I love Adam Silvera. It’s definitely new for me to say that an author is my favorite when I haven’t read all their books, but I’ve loved what I’ve read of his so far.
History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera
I was halfway through this when I put it down. Not that it was bad—oh my god I was loving it. It was just so emotional, too emotional for me at the time.
Infinity Son by Adam Silvera
This hasn’t come out yet and I’m dying to get my hands on it.
I’d sell my soul for an arc—no joke. So yeah, we’re keeping this and moving it to the “Read” shelf as soon as it gets into my hands.
Do you think I made the right decisions? Is there a book from this list that you’ve read and think I won’t like, or will love and should read immediately? Let me know and thank you for reading!
